  Need help understanding the Overlapping Generation teaching

  so this is a topic that seriously boggles my mind and please correct me if i'm wrong.

  to me, the jw definition of the overlapping generation teaching is that the lives of the anointed from 1914 overlap with the lives of the anointed right now.

  david splane used the example of fred franz and how he finished his "earthly course" in 1992 but while he did, he had a lot of "contemporaries" that outlived him and are currently living today.

  no need to revise it. overlapping generations can keep on overlapping ad infinitum.. means armageddon is still just around the corner in gods timescale--or maybe 100,000 years to us. dont worry about it. splane knows what hes talking about.

  amongst the many jw splinter groups , the "lords witnesses" are amongst the more interesting / amusing / depressing ( delete as applicable ).

  the de-facto leader , gordon ritchie , was quite a well known jw in the uk in the past.

  there was an amusing article in the times about him a few years ago ( https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/the-end-of-the-world-is-nigh-its-name-is-gordon-g3qxf8w5fn9 ) firewall / free to subscribe.

  you hear of a exjw writing a book, however, before writing this book this exjw is requesting money to publish said book.

  never jw's---even less likely

  ex jw's ? well--there are plenty of books already out there. Paying money to read someones grievance with the watchtower cult is of limited appeal.
